The Razors Edge Pitbull is a line of dogs created by Dave Wilson and Carlos Barksdale in the 90's in Maryland and Washington D.C. Originally their line consisted of game dogs which is much different from the temperaments of most of the Razors Edge dogs that are being bred today. Today, they still have the same working drive, however they are less aggressive. Originally they started their line with these game dogs and by subscribing to the ADBA Gazette and researching the American Pit Bull.

They also expanded their knowledge of the breed by contacting breeders personally to find more information about creating bloodlines. At the time, they only owned a few back yard bred pitbulls that did not have papers. Eventually they invested some money into the dogs and purchased game bred dogs from a respectable bloodline. One of the best dogs in that time period was a dog named "Plummers Alligator". This dogs pedigree mainly consisted of Mayfield lines. They also ventured off and acquired dogs from the Hemphill and Wilder bloodlines as well.

Eventually they purchased a dog named Diablo from George Williams in Washington DC. Diablo sire was Hollinsworth Bull and was well known at the time. His Dam was a game dog named Wildsides Ms. Leaky. This was the point of their program that they started to add size, bone, and more structure to their line of dogs. The first ever pitbull razors edge registered was owned by Curt Plater. It was from the first razors edge breeding and was ADBA registered. They bred their Mayfield dog named Zeus to a Mayfield female named Jinx.

Eventually they banned pitbulls in PG County and Dave Wilson was forced to move. He landed a managers job at a pet store in Virginia and moved his kennel to that area where it still exists today.

After Edgar Eddington was the national weight pulling champion for 12 years in a row, he was given the go ahead to cross the American Bulldog, and Dog de Bordeaux into his Freeman bloodline pit bulls. Before 1998 for the Boxer breed and Boxer show dogs to be in show the ears and tailed needed to be docked and cropped. This is still a tradition in countries other than the United States. The Keeshond dog breed is an average medium sized dog breed, most known for his puffy two-layered silver and black furred coat and his curly tail. The Keeshond’s closest family members are the other German dog breeds such as the Pomeranian. The Keeshond was originally called the German Spitz, and ever more specifically it was called the Wolfspitz. However, in England of 1926, where it was previously called the Dutch Barge Dog, its name was officially changed to the Keeshond.

Keeshond Dog Breed

The Keeshond is part of the family of spitz dogs. However, its particular origins are unknown. Since the eighteenth century, this breed seems to have been well recognized in Holland as a companion and watchdog. Later, this dog breed became known as the barge dog due to its frequent position as watchdog on small vessels navigating the Rhine River. By some miracle, the Keeshond became involved in the political events of Holland during the years that led up to the French Revolution. The leader of the Patriot faction, Kees de Gyselaer, owned a barge dog named Kees. This particular dog appeared in so many political cartoons that him and his breed became the symbol of the Patriots, calling them a dog of the people. However, unfortunately for the Keeshond, the Patriots did not come out on top and many of the dog owners got rid of their dogs so they would not be recognized as the losing party. Along with these negative circumstances, the Keeshond also faced more problems when the barges that floated the Rhine became larger. Because of this, the small Keeshond breed became unpopular as a barge dog. Yet, regardless of these unfortunate happenings, the Keeshond breed survived below the radar by the efforts of a couple loyal river boatman and farmers. In 1920, an effort to rescue the surviving members was made by the Baroness van Hardenbroek. The breed was in England by 1925 because of how successful she was in obtaining friends for the Keeshond. Then, finally in 1930, the Keeshond gained AKC recognition. The breed continued its success, later recovering in its homeland as the national dog of Holland. It was officially recognized as a breed in 1888 and began to be appreciated for its unique appearance and relations to the Italian Greyhound. The Whippet slowly gained recognition and popularity, but with its elegance, grace, and friendly companionship, it has created quite a devoted following.
